My First Meringue

O: The first recipe I baked was a meringue recipe.

O: I remember that I burnt my finger that day.

O: I remember that I put water on my thumb.

M: How did the recipe turn out?

O: Delicious!

M: Tell us what it looked like?

O: It looked white because we didn't have food colorings.

M: Did you have any troubles making this recipe?

O: A little.

M: What?

O: When I was trying to put my finger in the slow oven, I got burnt.

M: I remember that it was difficult to make the meringue fluffy.

M: Do you remember that?

O: Yes, I do, but I remember something else. I remember it was boring when we were trying to make them fluffy.

M: What are meringue's made out of?

O: Fluff.

M: What is fluff is made out of?

O: Eggs! Just the whites - and some sugar!

M: Our meringues turned out flat and brown - not white and fluffy. But it was a memory we'll cherish forever!
